At Role Play we know there’s nothing more important or precious than our children. We aim to create a stimulating, inspiring and safe environment for them to play and learn. Each session is organised and timed so that play equipment can be kept clean and tidy for each new group of children, and at the end of each play session there will be a short story at our picnic area to encourage a home time routine.
Role Play has been developed in conjunction with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and with expert advice from our consultant Early Years Practitioner. The EYFS sets out the seven areas of learning that are key throughout the early years and we have ensured that our play area incorporates each one of them.
The seven key areas are:
1. Personal, Social and Emotional Development
2. Physical Development
3. Communication and Language
6. Understanding the World
7. Expressive Arts and Design
Please email us if you’d like more information and look out for our onsite leaflets with suggestions on how you can encourage your child’s development through Role Play.
Welcome to Role Play, a fun and educational play facility for children aged 6 and under.
Role Play will inspire your children to become a fireman or a hairdresser, have a picnic on the grass under our beautiful tree or climb aboard one of our vehicles and take a drive around our track. Little imaginations need have no limits.
We also have an onsite café offering light refreshments and snacks, enabling parents to sit back with a cuppa and watch their children play.
There are four play sessions per day each lasting for 90 minutes. Sessions are pre bookable online or over the phone, please check out the bookings page for more information.
We are a family run business, Lesley and Mel are sisters from Hebburn and are very excited for their first business venture together. We’d love to get your feedback and ideas about Role Play, please get in touch we’d love to hear from you.
What people are saying about us
I now have a new favourite play place! Yesterday we went to check out the recently opened Role Play in Hebburn and I fell in love. I liked it so much I booked it for Arlo’s 5th birthday party in December while I was there!
The location is good – a 5 minute walk from Hebburn metro. If you drive there is lots of free parking at Hebburn hub across the road, or even around down the side streets.
Yesterday we visited the brand new children’s play centre in Hebburn. It’s brilliant. Really well thought through. My toddler loved it (he cried when we were leaving) and (in my mind the most important bit) parent’s can have a cup of tea, a sit down and actually get a bit of a rest. There is definitely a time and place for soft play, sometimes they are just what we are looking for – if our toddler needs to work off some energy or if my husband is with us so one of us can go with him, whilst the other looks after the baby.
